How We Protect Your Data
Encryption in Transit and at Rest
All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256. Your trust minutes are never stored in plain text.
Secure Infrastructure
Our application runs on isolated, regularly patched infrastructure. We conduct periodic security assessments and follow industry best practices for access control and monitoring.
Access Controls
Only you can access your trust minutes. We use authentication best practices including secure session management. No employee or contractor has routine access to user data.
SOC 2 Type II Compliance in Progress
We are actively pursuing SOC 2 Type II certification to demonstrate our commitment to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
No Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your trust minutes data with third parties. Your data exists solely to serve you. Period.
What we protect, specifically
Trust minutes contain some of the most sensitive family and financial information that exists: asset inventories, beneficiary names, distribution decisions, and sometimes health or family circumstances. Here is the concrete detail behind each protection claim above.
Trust minutes and profile data
Your documents and account profile are stored in an isolated database with access restricted to your authenticated session. Minutes drafts are saved so you can return to them, and they remain associated only with your account — never pooled, analyzed, or reused as content.
When you export a document, the generation happens in a request-scoped process and the resulting file is delivered to you; we do not build a library of user documents.
Payments
Export purchases are processed by Stripe. Card numbers touch Stripe's infrastructure, not ours — TrustMinutes stores no card data at all. We retain only the transaction reference needed for receipts and support.
Emails and communications
Support email is retained only as long as needed to resolve your request. Product emails (receipts, export links) are transactional — we do not sell contact data or share it with marketers.
What we would do if something went wrong
If a security incident affecting user data ever occurred, we would notify affected users directly and describe what happened, what data was involved, and what we did — in plain language, without waiting for a legal requirement to force disclosure.
Your controls
Delete your account and data
You can request deletion of your account and all associated trust minutes at any time by emailing [email protected] from your account email. We complete deletion requests within 30 days and confirm by email when done.
Export or review your data
Your generated documents are yours — export them anytime from the dashboard. For a full copy of profile data associated with your account, email support and we will provide it.
Use without an account
The generator works without registration, and guest exports require only an email address for delivery. If you want zero stored data, build and export as a guest.
Security questions, answered
Who can see my trust minutes?
Only you (and anyone you share the exported file with). TrustMinutes staff have no routine access to user documents, and access for support purposes requires your explicit request.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Your documents and inputs are never used for model training, and nothing you type into the wizard is fed back into any AI system.
Where is the data stored?
On managed cloud infrastructure in the United States, encrypted at rest, with access restricted to the systems that serve your account.
What happens to my documents if I stop paying?
Your saved drafts and export history remain in your account. A lapsed subscription limits new clean exports, not access to what you already created.
